PUF based RFIDs

RFIDs have advanced from being just an identification technology to an identification and authentication technology. But the adoption of RFIDs for authentication has been mostly limited to ID cards, and some luxury and pharmaceutical products. Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) technology is a silicon technology. It derives its features and functions from the silicon and silicon chip fabrication process. PUF technology can be easily integrated into any silicon chip or programmed into an FPGA (see FPGA section for detail). PUF technology can be easily integrated into any silicon chip made using standard silicon chip fabrication process and technologies. PUF technology does not require a special fabrication process.
